Wutachschlucht, the Gorge of River Wutach

Within 15 minutes by car, you can reach the fascinating nature reserve of the River Wutach gorge.

Formed by River Wutach and its tributaries, the gorge is an unforgettable experience for any hiker.


The Vogtsbauernhof Black Forest Open Air Museum in Gutach

In the impressive Black Forest open-air museum (about 60 minutes by car from our hotel) you can discover how people lived and worked in the Black Forest during past centuries, as you wander through buildings such as saw mills, grain mills, living rooms and barns.


Badische Staatsbrauerei "Rothaus", Baden’s state-owned brewery

You can reach the brewery, located at Grafenhausen-Rothaus, within 20 minutes by car.

Steinwasen Park

At the Steinwasen Park, which is a combined leisure and wildlife park, the summer toboggan run and chair lifts, roller coaster and many more attractions ensure endless fun for the whole family.

Journey there: approx. 40 minutes by car.


The Hasenhorn Coaster (1,156m above sea level)

Within 30 minutes by car you can get to the Hasenhorn coaster, which is operated all the year round. At 2.9km in length, this is Germany’s longest coaster.

Double chair lifts take you uphill. During the ride down, you can experience the thrill of sharp bends, three terrific 360 degree turns and surging waves.


Furtwangen’s Clock Museum

Furtwangen, the town of clocks is about 40km from the hotel and, its German Clock Museum, gives an insight into the centuries old handicraft of clock making and painting in the Black Forest.


Lake Constance and Mainau Island

Within about an hour by car you can reach the local recreation area around Lake Constance nestled in the frontier area where Germany, Austria and Switzerland border with each other.
