The climatic health resort of Lenzkirch is situated at an 810 – 1,192m altitude above sea level in the heart of the High Black Forest between lakes Titisee, Schluchsee, Mount Feldberg and the wild and romantic gorge of the River Wutach.

The districts of Kappel (900m), Raitenbuch (940m), Saig (1,192m) and Grünwald (990m) are part of Lenzkirch.

It has been a member of The High Black Forest Nordic walking centre since 2003, and the village offers the best of conditions for mountain bikers, too.


Mount Feldberg, 1,493m above sea level

Mount Feldberg is considered to be the highest summit in the Black Forest and not only offers a beautiful view up to the Swiss Alps, but also a very special alpine flora and an alpine lake.

You really must not miss seeing the panoramic view from the 11th floor of the tower on Mount Feldberg, which you can access by lift. The tower is a former broadcasting tower of the Südwestfunk, the area’s radio-broadcasting corporation.

The most comfortable way to climb Mount Feldberg is via the Mount Feldberg cable railway, by means of which you take a leisurely ride almost right to the tower of Mount Feldberg with its viewing platform.
